Re: [RC] OHV trust fund in CA - Sandy Adams - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFHowever . . . Sandy brings up a very good point here. :/ ~C One of the biggest problems with this would not just be the availability to the gov to "beg, borrow or steal it" - take your pick they do all of the above - but once a vehicle is in place to charge a fee, it doesn't take much for the gov to then use that accessibility to place other fees on us. I think about even that $50 - multiply that by how many riding horses, lawn ornaments and prospects you have - not all rideable, but for us, that would be $450 a year! Only 4 of the nine enjoy the trails. I DO like what Debby did at Montana De Oro - part of our entry fee went to support trail access and maintenance. I will always be suspicious of any avenue to open the door for gov to take more of our money - and I have no doubt they would try, especially when they get desperate. s =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
