I only get digest, so if no one else sent this today, this is
important!!!! Surely there is some other way CA can save some money
other than by closing most of our state parks.

In response to the threatened park closures, this also included Malibu
Creek State Park, Sycamore Cyn, and Topanga. What this means to
endurance riders is: loss of half the training grounds in the northern
LA county, Ventura county area, NO MALIBU ENDURANCE RIDE!!, and no
other endurance rides where your trail crosses state park lands.
PLEASE, write today. This goes before the legislature tomorrow and per
park service personnel up here, this is no bluff like last time. This
also means groups like the Santa Monica Mountains Trails Council that
voluntarily maintains trails won't be allowed in to keep them up.
Go to this website and there is a letter that can be edited. Once you
fill in your information, the website sends your letter. It takes all
of 5 minutes. Also, it popped up the following fax numbers for me.
