[RC] Glue-On Boots - Chris MartinKathy:Got some foam I will sell you at cost, anybody?? "Goober Glue" is very rubbery and flexible.? I especially like it to fill the hoof cavity.? It can get a little messy, especially the first few times.? I don't even wear gloves anymore.? Cleans up with alcohol, if you catch it soon enough.? Also makes a excellent material for form fitting your GLOVES, so that they do fit perfect, again photo's in blog. I had the advantage of knowing how to do a barefoot trim and to put on shoes..? My rears work great, they fit better then the front.? Part of the trick is to have a good trim and to know what you can do with the hoof.? Get a HOOF kit with a variety of sizes ($8.00).? They come in 1/2 sizes so you can usually get a really good fit, been waiting for that for a long time.? The boots will just kinda snap into place.? I use a caliper to measure the length of the hoof to make sure it will go all the way to heal section, same with the width.? You can have the horse step into the boot and it will expand and be on the hoof real snug.? I like snug but not tight.? Hard to tell the difference sometimes.? That is why I measure.? I do not want lots of pressure when the horse lands and spreads out his heals.? Easy to get a good fit with most horses, especially if you are comfortable with a rasp.? I will take off a little toe or side if I have to, to make it fit.? Most of the time I do have to shorten the rear toes a little, but no more then your farrier would if he was setting steel. , Boots come off in about 2 min each after you break the seal with a flexible round pointed knife, I use a steak knife, ready for use with a little cleaning.? Lots of pictures. -- Chris Martin 1-888-823-1737 ?Toll free, follows cell phone www.freeformusa.com http://picasaweb.google.com/FreeFormUSA http://picasaweb.google.com/webtackUSA Email: ?WebtackUsa@xxxxxxxxx http://feiredhorse.blogspot.com/
