[RC] Question about saddle use - Christina McCarthy

I thought I would put this question out there for all you experienced saddle users  :)  I use to use an ortho flex cutback (original orthoflex) and seemed to be able to ride longer distances in it without my legs becoming too tired or me for that matter..I stopped using it because of the length of the saddle..it is too long for my Arab, and instead found a comphy dressage saddle..which I don't become tired with until the ride exceeds 18 miles at a steady trot..I am wondering if the leg position of this type of saddle is causing me to become more fatigued or is it my imagination and I am just hopelessly out of shape..lol
Thank you for your insight..

I told her that around Walsenburg would be a good place to pull off, so it sounds like you're of the same idea, Floyd.  That's usually what I do when I'm traveling, I look for an exit that's in a quiet area with some space to pull off the road.

I'm not near Walsenburg, but I've been through there enough to remember it's a good place for a stop, or nearby there, anyway.

Hi Jonni,       I hope you get response from someone local to that area. I used to travel it frequently. That is basically very open, non-congested and sparsely populated area. I think you could safely pull off at about any exit, after you get down the grade and past Trinidad. Exits 15, 23, 27, 34 and 42 all go onto dirt roads. Floyd Reid, now in CA
