Re: [RC] Western Maine Pioneer ride - Sharon LevasseurI haven't done the W. ME Pioneer but hope to make it this year. I have, however, done Fryeburg (CTR), Crooked River (CTR), and Pine Tree (Endurance). The W. ME Pioneer is run out of the Fryeburg fairgrounds and I believe uses many of the same trails as these three rides, though I heard last year it also went into the forest service property (which would be cool). The terrain is hilly but not mountainous, and the footing is good (some sand, some mud, some dirt roads, some woods trails, some pipeline). For trail pictures and reports, see my stories from these rides over the years... they're listed in order of which ride they were, not chronologically: http://zegifts.com/Stories3.htm#fryeburg http://zegifts.com/Stories2.htm#crooked http://zegifts.com/Stories5.htm#CR60 http://zegifts.com/Stories2.htm#PineTree http://zegifts.com/Stories4.htm#pinetree http://zegifts.com/Stories5.htm#pt07 http://zegifts.com/Stories5.htm#PT08 Hope to see you there! -Sharon L. in Maine Quoting Lysane Cree <lysanec@xxxxxxxx>: I would like to know more about this ride. Is this ride run on the same trails as for the Pine Tree 100? If not, what is the terrain like for the Pioneer ride? =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
