At some point the old drug rule said something about endogenous substances being in violation when in exogenous amounts, and that giving electrolytes , hay grain & water was okay? Anyone still have the wording on that? To me the gamma oryzanol (sp?) in an amount endogenous to a plant, even though not specifically made within the horse, would be allowable. Or is that too uncommon an application of sense? Remember, those rules were written in a time when you didn't have to parse every syllable and prove what "is" means. You can't write a weasel proof rule.

Hmmmm, I feed my horse, and he has been tested at least three times in
the past few years of AERC competition (he pees to a whistle)- without
anything showing positive. I may have even been feeding rice bran and
oats at the time. So have a gazillion other AERC competitors been
tested without anything showing up. . . . (??)
