[RC] re: Folsom Lake Accident (education) - Cindy CollinsComing back to "harp" on education and PR, I am aware that the type of individuals involved in this accident likely don't belong to a responsible organization. However, one must start somewhere and many of the men and women in those organizations will have contact with kids and other riders. Peer pressure can be effective. Also, simple posters in motorcycle shops that give main bulleted points on sharing trails safely with horses would be great. Make sure that everything has a positive message and isn't arrogant or preachy. Finally, going to schools or Boys and Girls Clubs, etc. and giving a brief talk on sharing the trails safely would be a super way to communicate. Plus, it's an opportunity to tell people a little bit about our sport and maybe even enlist some dirt bikers or ATV riders to help you mark trail in the future and build real lasting relationships.
