??????????????? So, if I want to feed my horse at all, the only
way that I can be in compliance with the AERC's drug rule as currently
written is to not enter?any AERC sanctioned competitions.
?
Hmmmm, I feed my horse, and he has been tested at least three times in
the past few years of AERC competition (he pees to a whistle)- without
anything showing positive. I may have even been feeding rice bran and
oats?at the time. ?So have a gazillion other AERC competitors been
tested without anything showing up.? . . . (??)
Some will tell you - I am not one but it's been stated right here on
Ridecamp - just because it doesn't test doesn't mean it is not in
violation of the AERC rule.? If gamma oryzanol is in oats, rice brand,
barley, etc. and you feed such things - you are in violation. An FBI
buddy of mine has always said "want to get rid of a bad law - enforce
it."? If any content of gamma oryzanol is in violation then zero is
zero if it is there you are violation and should be sanctioned for
feeding such substances. Of course such a stand in totally asinine.
However, that's what the AERC rule seems to say.
