Do you nean Lake Cachuma? (Lake Casitas is in Ventura County), No. The fire would have to head north up the mountains and jump Camino Cielo road (and reinforced firebreaks). The winds are predicted to be from the north/northeast, which would push the fire south towards Santa Barbara city and west towards the Goleta foothills (where the Gap fire was last year). (Because our geography is influenced by a jog in the plate tectonics, the mountain range runs east and west. In Santa Barbara the nountains are to the north and the ocean is to the south. ( It's very confusing if you drive on Hwy 101 -- the northbound lanes head west and the southbound lanes head east <g> . . . until you turn unland at Gaviota and the highway really goes north and south.)
