The good news is (at least in relation to this question) that Susan Cooper 
lives in Nevada not California.? So they may be able to make the suggested 
modifications without angering the California enviro-nazis (well...probably 
will anger them, but being beyond their jurisdiction, it won't 
matter...unless/until the California enviro-nazis succeed at imposing their 
will through federal enviro-nazis).
