Re: [RC] Splint bone removal - rides2far@xxxxxxxx: Has anybody had experience with excessive remodeling of bone post surgery for splint bone removal? I am reading that it happens in 30% of cases. Yes, horse my friends competed had that happen. He had a not so large splint that wouldn't set. They removed the piece and he ended up with a really big knot where the small splint used to be. It didn't bother him though. He went on to have 2000 miles and a Junior National 50 mile championship win. I had a horse shatter his rear splint in a pasture accident. We had it all removed. So far as I know nothing came back (I sold him). He went on to make a kid's jumper. Angie McGhee ____________________________________________________________ Ready to learn about trading currency?
