Yes.  A young father of one of the students was in a coma and had been 
written off.  There were plans to end life suppport because their was no 
apparent brain activity.  Fortunately, before that was done, he began to 
improve,  Within a week he was talking normally and now, a few years later, 
he leads a normal life - well, you know, as normal as any of our lives ever 
are.
