[RC] stirrups - carrie - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFI couldn't disagree more. If you're a decent rider, all you have to do is adjust your timing at the post a little bit and that's pretty much automatic if you have a good sense of timing. The stirrups are awesome for lessoning the impact on the joints. You would have to attach your stirrups with a bungee cord to elicit the type of reaction Kat is referring to. IMHO Carrie Sandy Adams said: Finally, I had seen once some kind of contraption that ?connected the stirrups to the leathers with a kind of ?spring function - to provide more cushioned effect for ?bum knees and ankles and hips - anyone know where ?to find such a thing? Personally, I cannot recommend this "kind of contraption" as it will put you behind the motion of your horse when you post at the trot (i.e. you will still be going down when the horse is on its way back up). kat Orange County, Calif. :) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
