Whoa here…big difference in a
compound made by a “local pharmacy” and a generic. Generic’s
are regulated by the FDA and go through the same strident tests as the “real
thing” (otherwise known as expensive brand name). This may indeed have been
the mistake of whoever compounded it, but has no relation whatsoever to generic
products being less effective or less safe.

Well, it wasn't Biodyl after all, but a compound made by local
pharmacy, perhaps a generic compound "copy" of Biodyl, and they made
a mistake ... one of the reasons I don't like to buy generics.
