Nathan Bedford Forest was a heck of a cavalryman. His legacy is just too tied 
up to him forming the Klan for him to get any credit. They captured him once 
and he reached over and grabbed a yankee off his horse and galloped away 
holding him behind him as a human shield.

To keep this on topic. I read once that his guys rode their horses right out of 
their hooves on some campaign and the author theorized that in the area they 
were in they had gotten overdosed on selenium.
