[RC] round reins / not rope - Michelle Aquilino - Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLFI use the same yacht rope reins that you do. I think overall, they are about as good as it gets in preventing rope burns. Other than that, I'd suggest wearing gloves. I have some really soft deerskin gloves that are extremely comfy and my hands don't get sweaty in them either. :) Carrie I have always used these round yacht rope reins since getting my horse.? But when I fell off the other weekend, I got some pretty bad rope burn on a couple of my fingers.? I really like the round reins though, as opposed to flat.? Are there any round rein options made of another material that would not be susceptible to rope burn?? Thanks!? -Michelle -- "Don't breed or buy while shelter animals die" -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Follow-Ups: Re: [RC] round reins / not rope From: Elizabeth Walker -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Previous by date: [RC] Who would I want to ride with ? - Diane Conklin Next by date: [RC] chronic diarrhea..older horses? - Kathie Ford Previous by thread: [RC] Who would I like to ride with-Maggie Next by thread: Re: [RC] round reins / not rope Carrie Kitley 30th Medical Group, Vandenberg AFB DMLSS Database Sustainment Specialist (DSS) CACI International Inc, www.caci.com DSN: 276-1077 Fax: 805-606-1179 All I pay my psychiatrist is the cost of feed and hay, and he'll listen to me all day.? -- Unknown =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
