There are only about 60 days left before the Old
Dominion ride. There is still time to start practicing loading your supplies to
ride Cavalry. Several other people are planning to ride Cavalry this year. We
may have enough riders to form F Troop:-).
I believe Longstreets Charge is offering a Cavalry
division for those who want to try it on a 50 before doing a 100 that way. Last
year at Trace Tribute and Longstreets Charge, a fairly large number of riders
rode Cavalry and just about all of them loved it that way. ,Any other rides with
a Cavalry option out there?
In the "old days" of Endurance Riding, most riders
were basically going Cavalry. It is fun and a satisfying challenge to do this.
Plus look at how Cavalry riders do at the OD compared with the historical
average at the OD. Higher completion rates and higher placings.
Co-incidence? Probably not.
