I didn't mean to imply that either horse/rider was trying to win. It could even be the LAST two horses in the ride. And yes, ideally we would all train our horses not to care how far back the next horse is... but we don't all pop out of the womb owning perfectly trained horses, it's a process. ;-) ;-) ;-)-Sharon L. in Maine Quoting Truman Prevatt <tprevatt@xxxxxxxxxxxxxx>: Seems to me that if winning is important to a rider and if a rider is a front runner that seems to be the case, they would train the horse to get over such stuff and concentrate on the job at hand. If a horse had such a problem - I would know the best way to beat them if I were so inclined to want to do so.
