I just didn't have a clue.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "heidi larson" <ribbitttreefrog@xxxxxxxxx> To: <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx>; "Barbara McCrary" <bigcreekranch@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Monday, April 06, 2009 3:45 PM Subject: Re: [RC] is this rude/Drafting If I feel I'm being drafted off of and it's hurting my horse's mental outlook, I will pull off into the brush, apologize to the person behind me and say I need to take a potty break! I was riding with a woman in a multi-day and we were near the end of that day's distance. I THOUGHT I was being polite by staying behind her, thinking she could finish before me and get credit for one position higher. Instead, she became miffed with me for riding behind, accusing me of drafting off her horse. I apologized, rode ahead, and I don't remember which of us finished ahead...not that it made any difference. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
