Camp Perry is really a lovely place and I had a
great 50 mile ride. My ride was on Thurs before all the rain, we just had
some sprinkles, but did experience those gale force winds. We were out in
the woods with the wind making the trees creak and groan and then "wham" a tree
went down close by and both horses bolted forward at the sound.
Fortunately they regained their composure fairly quickly and then we were out of
the woods and onto the dirt road. We were trotting and felt like the
wind was blowing us back 1 step for every 2 forward. The Perry family are
the very best hosts, the food is great and they do all they can so you have a
good time. This was my second visit and I hope they have the ride again
next year!!! Louise
