[RC] Saddle for horse/rider just starting out in distance riding? - Sharon Levasseur

A friend of mine is looking for a good entry-level saddle for her new
free-leased horse. This wouldn't be her forever saddle, just something to
get them started so they can see whether they even remotely like the sport.

He's a pinto half-Arab, and I'm told he's fairly stocky and short-backed. so
I think *probably* something in a wide tree with a short bar length. For
herself, my friend needs something that is comfortable for riders who have a
relatively short inseam, and I think she would want an 18-19" seat size (if
English). She's looking for something that would be comfortable for her and
her horse over distances up to 25 miles, yet relatively easy on the wallet.

She wrote asking me if I knew anything about the Granada Paragon (http://www.nationalbridle.com/product-p/1-1987.htm) and I don't. Does anyone here know anything about Granadas?

Does anyone have any other brands to point her towards? Used is fine.
English or western is fine. Treeless is definitely *not* being considered.

Thanks,
Sharon L. in Maine
