Yes, I did, but thanks anyway. :) I have a bumper pull, though, which changes things a bit. Goosenecks put the trailer weight over the rear wheels, but with a bumper pull, it is better to make the trailer as light as possible; unload the horses, and if that doesn't do it, then start shifting stuff from the trailer into the bed of the truck - and start cussing because you didn't buy the 4x4.....

If you do get into soggy, muddy, or snowy, etc. conditions, just put weight in the bed, or if you're hooked up to a trailer, that extra weight on the rear drive wheels will help a lot. You probably already know that, but just in case ... :-)

Sounds pretty nice. I'm *not* a truck guru, but the 8.1L gas has about the same pulling capacity as the 6.6L diesel, so I think you are probably OK in that area. However, there are two gear ratios for the gas, I believe, a 3.73 and a 4.1(?). Real truck gurus could tell you which is better.
I just bought one this weekend as well. Good price, but I couldn't find anything with a 4x4 in my price range, so it is 2 wheel drive, regular cab. Guess I won't be trying to drive anywhere that is soggy or muddy. :)

My trailer is a 3 horse aluminum Exiss with the extra 2' on the living area. Not much added weight with the living area improvements.
Now..the standard HD comes with a 6.0 L 300 hp V8 and 4 speed automatic overdrive.
This one has Vortec 8.1L V8 gas and 5 speed Allison Automatic
Is this something I *want*? (I like the sound of it) Will I get lower gas mileage? I haven't had any trouble towing this rig with a 1994 3/4 ton GMC.
