I see so many folks adding way to much concentrate to keep weight on a horse in training. I would prefer they have good quality hay of several types in front of them 24/7 with small amounts of concentrates that can be increased as the work increases (like at a ride, on a 25+ training ride, etc)..

I have noticed he is starting to look way too lean due to all of the riding we have been doing. So would it be better to add oil to his diet or change his feed to Vitality ultra with its 10 percent fat instead of the 6 in the one I am feeding now... Any suggestions would be appeciated. > > Linda > > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= > > Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net. > Information, Policy, Disclaimer: http://www.endurance.net/Ridecamp > Subscribe/Unsubscribe http://www.endurance.net/ridecamp/logon.asp > > Ride Long and Ride Safe!! > > =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= >
