RE: [RC] Question about Zilco breast collar - Susan PetersYou can just cut the excess with scissors. I did that to mine a couple of years ago and they have not frayed. I purchased a Zilco breast collar last year. I have the arab size. With it adjusted to fit my tiny little mare I have quite a bit of excess at the end of my straps. Does anyone know if it is safe to cut the excess of so it is not interfering with my reins, etc.? Do I need to "melt" the ends to keep them from fraying like nylon? Or??? Thanks in advance for the help. Janet Tipton =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
