Re: [RC] Convention Rooms - Barbara McCraryI first tried to reserve a room using AAA or AARP. In both cases, the Thursday night rate was the same as AERC and there were no rooms available for members of these two organizations at discounted prices on Friday and Saturday nights. I don't recall the rates being higher because of the AERC convention. However, there were rooms available for Friday and Saturday, which there weren't for the other organizations. The choice was fairly simple, unless I wanted to lodge elsewhere and drive or walk longer distances to the convention. There is something to be said for having one's room in the same hotel as the activities.Barbara ----- Original Message ----- From: "k s swigart" <katswig@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: "Ridecamp" <ridecamp@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Friday, February 22, 2008 7:08 AM Subject: [RC] Convention Rooms The AERC and the Silver Nuggest need to take this into consideration before they try to stiff the people who are dumb enough to reserve a room at a higher room rate just because they say they are attending the AERC convention. =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
