I lost my Draft in December because of
guttural pouch issues. His started with abscessed teeth that couldn’t be
pulled so he was treated with massive doses of antibiotics. He ended up with
chronic sinus problems ie: infections with green stinking discharge. In turn he
started with small nose bleeds. I had him scoped and his pouch was inflamed and
covered with distended veins. These were bursting and causing his nosebleeds.
The vet didn’t want to scope into the pouch for fear that she would set
off a major bleed. Due to this and his other health problems I chose to put him
