I'm not at all sure that it's true. Honestly, this was in 1987. We were reading everything we could find on endurance and it was all new to us. I got the impression somewhere that that was the case and I'm not sure if it was an article, or some conclusion we came to on our own. It would be interesting to ask experts now.
