Kat is so right! The additional problem, which she did not mention in
this post, is that the feeding of all these horses, which were sent to the
auction with the intent of turning them into something useful, has hurt the rest
the good horses at home. This culture, "Save all Horses from death", is in
part responsible for the increase in hay prices. What a circle, now more
people must get rid of good horses because they can not afford the price of hay
to feed them.
