RE: [RC] Carcass Removal - kathy swigart/Carrie - heidiLeaving a euthanized carcass out is even worse, as you suggest. Birds are particularly susceptible to barbturates--they drop like dead flies around euthanized carcasses. But carnivores also can consume enough to die.
Vets here in rural Idaho refuse to do euthanasias unless you have a hole dug and a backhoe standing by--they are liable if a "protected" wolf eats the carcass and dies.
