Re: [RC] Carcass Removal - kathy swigart/Carrie - Lynn KinskyIt's considered a public health issue and safety of the streams and ground water issue. In Santa Barbara all dead animals are supposed to wind up at the sealed landfill (http://www.countyofsb.org/pwd/RRWMD/facility_tajiguas.htm). Undoubtedly ranches with a lot of land and no prying neighbors can bury or just let dead stock be taken care of by nature -- but that's not an option on a smaller parcel (yes, I've buried dead pets in my rose garden -- hate to waste fertilizer -- but once you need a backhoe, the burial becomes a bit more public). -- lkOn Dec 17, 2008, at 11:43 AM, Kitley, Carrie E Civ USAF AFSPC 30 MDSS/SGSLF wrote: Actually, I'm not sure how the legal part of it plays in.
