If your family has already been to Death Valley, then where the ride is located (in the Panamint Valley and in/around Trona) is probably going to be more interesting to them. Some of the places of interest that are very near the ride locations include: Ballarat Pleasant Canyon Randsberg Trona Pinnacles Panamint Springs Darwin Falls If they are really avid hikers (it is neither a short nor an easy hike), they can start from Ballarat (ghost town) and hike up Pleasant Canyon to Rogers Pass and SEE Death Valley.? The ride used to go this way (I don't know if it still does), but if last nights winter storm was in that area too, then such a trek will include some pretty substantial snow/ice. kat Orange County, Calif. :) =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
