[RC] Insurance - Michael LewisI received an e-mail from Equisure regarding insuring some of our horses, and was wondering if anyone has dealt with them. I had sent them a request for a quote about a year ago, which they answered, and evidently the representative wanted to know if I might be interested at this time. Strangely, this note came from them three days after we had to put down a horse... I'm sure it is not a coincidence. Has not been a good week, with one horse put down and another in the hospital for surgery described below. My endurance horse required major surgery to handle a progressive ethmoid hematoma, from which the vet says Molly will fully recover and eventually reach previous levels of fitness. This is encouraging. I'm wondering, though, if Molly is insurable now that she has had surgery. Would be interested in knowing (via private reply) folks' thoughts on Equisure. I'll try to find out information from Equisure regarding insurability following surgery.
