Treeless would be the worst thing for this
horse. Any flexibility like that and the rider’s weight will create
curvature in the saddle which will create the same problem that the horse has
probably been fighting her whole riding life. It’s not just the
spine that needs to be protected, the saddle needs to distribute weight along
the whole back, not just in the middle. She really needs structure that
will provide space for her to round up into. Any strong weight in the
middle and she can’t round correctly – and she reacts to that even
as a saddle is put on her.

why not a good treeless with some panels? Seems
that would give most options for flexiblity. Both Sensations and
Startrekks
have panels to get clearance off the spine; as do
the Barefoots,which don't have as much structure
