Hypernatremia is high sodium blood concentration and
hyperchloremia is high chloride blood concentration. These results would
at least hint towards an overdose with the electrolytes, and can cause a miraid
of problems in themselves. I think the study is getting at the fact that
the recommended dosages of e-lytes may still be too high, and provide no
scientific evidence for higher performance.
I have no opinion on the subject, really, and am only
translating the article a bit.
