How thick you get the pads depends on how your
saddle fits the horse. I love my cool backs. I get the regular pads
and they work just fine. In the past, with a high wither horse, I used the
beefed up front one and it worked just fine. I have also used the wool
backs and they have worked just fine. See if you can try one for fit
