[RC] Desert Gold - Cynthia LeDoux-BloomSuch a great ride and so much fun- and it did not rain this year on Day 3, thankfully! Scott, Susie, Scott's Mom, Ken, Maryben, Becky, Nic, FEI Kathy, FEI Fred, the Vets, and all of the hyperactive non-riders who evolved into volunteers, made this ride extra special once again! My abs are sore from laughing, not riding, as Eric and I was crewing for Emily and her horse Sam first Young Rider ride, and volunteering in between. Riding is so much easier. Highights besides the coyotes and beautiful coastal live oaks: Jeremy and Heather have come home; Jeremy and Smitty won BC both Fri and Sat, and the ride times all three days, I believe. I recall that Michele won BC last night. Mary Anderson finished her horse's 3k miles; Nic put over 200 miles on his motorcycle; The surfing was awesome; Plan to come next year, come early, stay late... Let's eat fresh crab and maybe I can take you on a tour of the Monterey Bay Aquarium!
