Thanks to Bruce for bringing this to our attention.
It sounds very interesting and fun. Kind of like a Duck ride with a down under
attitude.
It was very interesting to read the extensive
pre-ride book. The different vocabulary really shows up here. Apparently they
call crew members "strappers", for some reason. The rules and hints for the ride
were fun to read, and the ride attitude shows up on every page. It sounds like
those folks really know how to have fun.
There was one part of the pre-ride hints on Page
25, however that went way further and had more information about Aussie riders
than I needed to know. Under the heading of " Things to bring you may not think
of" was this entry, "Fur lined thongs, (it can be very cold over
night)". I will never be able to look at an Australian rider the same way
again:-)
