I use a myler snaffle currently, but just got the bit Carrie suggested off Craigslist (for $20!!) and it looks like it was barely in a mouth! Couldn't pass it up for that price!

It's the MB 41P with Kimberwicke cheeks. It's this mouthpiece:
I had alot more whoa with this, but without it causing head tossing or flinching. It seems to be the ticket for my horse.

May I ask which particular Myler bit you were recommended? I have one and have not been real happy with it and have been experimenting with my mare as to what will work best for her. I'm just curious as to which worked for you and your horse.
To all of you who answered my lame questions about chin chains and suggested the use of this particular Myler bit for race brain, thank you! I used it today and my girl was a lady. :) (saying alot for her). We even galloped a few times w/o a rodeo. :)
