Re: [RC] I have created a monster - rides2farHe finally reaches out with his nose and touches the thing. I praise him and give him a piece of carrot. ! A vet friend of mine was trying to show me how to do clicker training. She took a big 32-oz. orange cup and held it in front of his nose. When he accidentally bumped it she clicked and gave him a treat. Soon she could lift it or lower it and he'd think a minute, then reach down and tag it. Within minutes you could put the cup on the ground and the horse would walk over there and tag it then ask for a treat. I think you just taught your horse the same thing. I'm hoping to use it to teach 7 to allow the vets to check his gums. Kinda tricky sticking your fingers in a horse's mouth then immediately giving a treat. Gotta do it right or lose a finger. :-P I looked up clicker training and was reading on it. Apparently you have to be careful. One family wanted to teach their horse to kick a socker ball and once he figured out that was how to get treats he was kicking their chickens all over the farm yard. :-)) Angie ____________________________________________________________ Click here to find experienced pros to help with your home improvement project. http://thirdpartyoffers.juno.com/TGL2141/fc/PnY6rw2eRIrMqcAPcDvIxbdZeWnb72vt8eRyw6NikLAMqysKvhTf6/ =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-= Ridecamp is a service of Endurance Net, http://www.endurance.net.
