I don't like the idea of 100 mile flat track racing. I would like to see more technical challenge for WEC and WEG.
Racing 100 miles is a feat of athleticism and is to be commended, no doubt, but I feel that the elite of the elite should be tested over more varied terrain.
Or - hold separate world champion races for the flat track racers, and the varied terrain racers. It reminds me of Thoroughbred track racing and Steeple chasing. Horses and riders in both categories are athletes in their own right, but given the nature and roots of our sport, I think the varied terrain race is more appropriate.
