Re: [RC] English Endurance Saddle Stirrups - rides2far@xxxxxxxxI've seen a few crushed aluminum stirrups that happened when a horse fell down. Mine got mashed like that and my farrier just beat it back out & reshaped it on his anvil. I kept expecting it to break but it's lasted another 10 years or so. The sides of my stirrups have slowly gotten a polished knifelike edge from rubbing against my half chaps. I should probably file that flat before it cuts my leg off but it's so smooth and pretty. :-) Do the plastic stirrups have enough weight to them to be able to easily reach down and grab them with your toe?
