I got some of the Latex leg wrap stuff - can't remember what you call it. Wrapped that around the noseband, and then covered the whole thing with a fleece cover.

I removed the chin chain completely, and replaces it with a macramé chin strap that I picked up at a local tack store. It ties on, fitting through the small holes. You can find some with a chain section that tie on in many western tack stores, but the all macramé ones are harder to find.
