I have the SportCat, but I'm thinking of buying the bigger BlackCat. Though - the one morning I could have really used it, it wouldn't start up. It started later, after things had warmed up, which wasn't exactly the idea.....
However, I do the same as Chris - I use it in the evening, then turn it off before I go to bed, and turn it on (or try to) in the morning. I don't leave it unattended for more than a minute or two - going out to the potty, etc. I've just got a camper shell for the back of my truck. Not a big space, but I think the bigger BlackCat would work better.

I use a coleman black cat catalytic heater. Its made for inside of tents and such. Iuse it in the sleepaing area of the trailer. (I hesitate to call it an LQ.. it's rather primitive) Although becuase of fire potential, I always turn it off just before I get under the covers. I have a really warm sleepin bag and down into the 20s,I'm pretty comfy. I start the heater up in the morning when I get up and turn it off before we head out on trail.

After reading about the fire over the weekend am wondering if I should get a heater. I had done all of my price searching on buying a Mr. Buddy Heater then read that story about it causing the fire in the horse trailer.
Does anyone else use one of those on here. I thought it would be great to use when we put our cots in the back of the horse trailer this ride season.
I thought if we opened one of the vents in the roof that would give enough ventilation so we would not die from carbon dioxide.
Any suggestions from anyone that has used the heater with good results I would love to hear from you.
