Another very reasonably priced helmet is the International Equi-Lite 
Dial Fit System Schooling Helmet.  It sells at

for $28 plus $10 shipping.

I had purchased this helmet last year and about 2 weeks ago, trotting 
along at about 8 mph, my horse stumbled and went down.  I pitched 
forward and landed on my head (MY what a loud smack!) and then my 
shoulder.  There was no pain in head or neck but the helmet was cracked 
so I have just ordered another one.  Now my shoulder, on the other hand, 
sustained an AC2 separation and they want me to refrain from riding for 
several months... yeah... like THAT is going to happen... NOT!

Good luck with whatever helmet you choose to purchase.  Like saddles, 
fit is everything (I got my first International at a regular store where 
I could try it on).
