Yeah - I can understand this. How "usual" is this kind of excitement for other international rides? Do they all draw this level of crowd? If not, I can certainly understand a good percentage of the horses deciding that something must be terribly wrong. After all - why are all these people screaming?

And cooling fans? Can't say I've ever run into one of those at a horse venue....

I also noticed that during first inspection - when horses had to pass under the fans in the cooling area and where the vets were standing - some of them got over-excited and had to be taken out into the open. The whirring seemed to bother them considerably.
