It's so impossible to predict, and to generalize. Crandell's horse was supposedly (historically) the calm predictable horse (he wasn't this time). Kanavy's horse did the PAC in Argentina in 2005 - well behaved and top finisher. Brunjes' horse Theatric does have 'theatric' tendencies, but is a brilliant athlete and has always pulled through and has never before had the recovery issues he had at the first vetgate. Sometimes the world just changes on us.
