One thing that no one has mentioned yet. This was the first time that our current staff has selected, trained and coached an international team before. Think of your favorite sports team, when you have a first year coach and assistants do they win right away? The answer is hardly ever. I have had the opportunity to work with Becky and Dr. Bryant and they are pretty smart horse people. I am sure the learning curve for them at this WEC was tremendous and knowing our current staff they will put his new knowledge to work to improve our team. I personally know and have competed against every rider who went over with the exception of Cheryl and you will have a hard time finding a more dedicated bunch and the are all excellent competitors. They will have learned as well and hopefully they will pass on this knowledge to make all of us better riders and trainers. Make no mistake, Becky and her staff will have us back to the top in the near future.
I hope that all of you who are quick to criticize will be just as quick to congratulate or better yet, saddle up and join the international ranks as we need more riders and then you can help the US Team become better!!!!!!!
