Thanks Jay!! bits and pieces fall together! Steph is updating/ 
correcting the posts. Do you know any more about how the Appaloosa  
got to Australia? It's quite interesting to us as we have a place in  
North Idaho which sits on the edge of "The Palouse", the area where  
the breed originated. I'll try to dig out a few pictures, but those  
of you who use Windows/XP, that nice green standard background images  
is the Palouse as it is today (and that mountain in the upper right  
of the images - Gold Hill:)
