Shadow had arthritis in his left front pastern. We started out on a 1-month program, but eventually ended up with an injection every 2 weeks. His symptom was a subtle favoring of the left front, which I could feel from the saddle. About once a year, the standard injection didn't do it, and we would need to repeat the loading dose.
