When I first came to know Dave, sometime around
1979, he went by the name of F.W. Duck. I was told it stood for Frozen Wet
Duck, but others interpreted the F. as something else. ;-) I
remember it had some connection to a long-gone ride called Virginia Dare (or
Dale) up in Wyoming, I think.
I was told that a long time ago, when it was not
common for Ride Managers/Organizers to ride their own ride, that He (Dave
Nicolson) would enter himself in the ride as D. Duck (Donald Duck). That's
what they told me at an XP Ride, ....so it must be
true:-)
